Mass Table was designed by Alain Gilles to celebrate Bonaldo’s eightieth birthday. The table has a base with a formal lightness that is a reminiscent of Victorian crinoline and three-dimensional wireframes, that is, representations of three-dimensional computer graphics.
The top, in contrast, occupies the visual space with a strong aesthetic personality and seems almost to float in the void. In this way, Mass Table subverts the traditional image of the table with an imposing base and a thin top.
The base is available in metal, painted in a variety of shades; the top can be in different types of glass, marble, ceramic or solid wood. The many finishes available allow a result to be obtained in the most classic or markedly contemporary taste.
